Brush Paddlewheel Aerator

MONSOON floating paddlewheel aerators produce strong horizontal mixing and high oxygen transfer for oxidation ditches, lagoons and tanks. Use individually, or in groups, to develop large overall flow patterns..
MONSOON aerators can be used individually or in groups to aerate and mix any or all parts of a basin. Models are available from 2 to 40 Hp (1.5 to 30 kW).

Super high oxygen transfer rates and strong horizontal mixing are produced by this floating paddlewheel aerator. MONSOON aerators produce higher oxygen transfer rates than vertical surface mechanical aerators.

The slowly rotating brush rotor efficiently introduces high levels of oxygen into the wastewater with strong raining aeration while maximizing efficiency by using horizontal mixing action. Its wide paddlewheel effectively distributes the energy over the surface while specially shaped blades scoop water into the air with maximum efficiency.

Top quality bearings, grit resistant seals, extra large gear reducer and foam filled floats make every MONSOON® aerator safe and dependable.

Machined stainless steel replaceable shafts, bolt onto torque tube, providing exact alignment, maximizing the shaft bearing life. Splash shields prevent excess soaking of bearings, gear reducer and the motor for greater reliability. Factory testing of each MONSOON® aerator, prior to shipment, ensures that the equipment meets the stringent AEROMIX standards for quality.

  • 100% stainless steel construction for the ultimate in corrosion resistance.
  • Integral legs and feet prevent basin and equipment damage if water level drops.
  • Extra heavy duty gear reducer provides high design safety factor.
  • Foam filled all stainless steel floats will not sink even if punctured.
  • Grease lubricated bearings maximize equipment life.
  • Field replaceable rotor blades.
  • Adjustable power draw.

The rotating blades turn at 40 to 80 rpm and slowly, but efficiently scoop water into the air. This scooping and mixing action breaks the water droplets into a fine mist intimately combining it with the air, generating high levels of oxygen transfer.

The horizontal pumping action then pushes the highly aerated water out into the basin while drawing water low in dissolved oxygen from deep within the basin and from behind the MONSOON® aerator, resulting in extremely high basin oxygen transfer conditions.
