TrashMax® Trash Screen

TrashMax® Trash Screen

The HUBER TrashMax Trash Screen is well-suited for use in pumping stations, as the initial treatment stage in wastewater treatment or industrial plants, and at power plant inlets. It effectively removes coarse and bulky materials, safeguarding downstream systems.

The TrashMax Trash Screen stands out for its high-capacity screen rakes and exceptional operational reliability, ensured by efficient and dependable screen rack cleaning.

  • Innovative combination of a front cleaned and back cleaned screen rack in a single unit
  • Reliable removal of bulky material with high operating reliability
  • High-capacity screen rakes
  • Exact screen rake guidance for reliable cleaning of the front cleaned and back cleaned screen rack
  • Compact L-shaped screen
  • Easy to retrofit into existing channels
  • Installation without channel recesses is possible
  • Simple and easy-to-access drive unit
  • All parts in contact with the medium (except the drive and bearings) are made of immersion pickled stainless steel.
  • No additional consumables, such as service water, required for plant operation except electric current

The cleaning elements, attached to the chain system, can be easily adjusted to meet various requirements, effectively removing even heavy and bulky objects. With adaptable cleaning rakes, the removal capacity can be modified as needed. The system’s high cleaning efficiency is particularly beneficial for handling heavy solids loads.

The HUBER Coarse Screen TrashMax has a minimal installation height above ground level, even in deep channels, as it only depends on the height of the screenings transport or disposal units. The cleaning rakes are securely connected to robust drive chains, with both ends supported by two wear-resistant rollers running in lateral guiding tracks. This ensures smooth and precise movement of the rakes as they travel upward, providing reliable and thorough screen rack cleaning. Each chain is powered by a sprocket mounted on a common shaft and driven by a gear motor.

The TrashMax screen rakes engage with the screen rack bars at the lowest position, first cleaning the back of the screen rack before moving to the front. This operating principle prevents material build-up in front of the screen, ensuring that even large bulky objects are efficiently captured and transported upwards out of the channel.

The lower section of the HUBER Coarse Screen TrashMax features a steep conveying section, followed by an upper flat discharge section with a slight inclination. This design ensures the smooth and reliable discharge of screenings into a downstream transport or disposal system.
