Decentralised Potable Water Treatment

Reliable Decentralised Potable Water Treatment for Remote and Off-Grid Applications

Access to safe and reliable drinking water is essential for communities, mines, remote construction sites and resorts. Decentralised potable water treatment systems provide a flexible and efficient solution where traditional infrastructure is impractical or unavailable. By using advanced filtration or membrane technologies, these systems can effectively treat surface water, groundwater, or brackish water, ensuring high-quality potable water that meets international drinking water standards.

Hydroflux Epco delivers cutting-edge decentralised water treatment solutions, offering the HyPURE® system, which utilises advanced membrane technology, alongside the MENA-Water SafeDrink packaged system, which leverages high-performance filtration technology. Through our strategic partnership, we provide versatile and reliable potable water treatment options tailored to diverse applications.

Hydroflux Epco offers containerised water treatment solutions incorporating filtration and membrane technology to provide high-quality potable and process water. Our HyPURE membrane systems can utilise one or a combination of multimedia filtration, activated carbon, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis for advanced water purification. These modular, pre-engineered systems are designed for rapid deployment, making them ideal for remote communities, industrial sites, mining camps, and emergency response applications. With a focus on efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, Hydroflux ensures safe and consistent water treatment in any location.

Integrating MMF or HyPURE® membrane systems into containerised units offers several advantages:

Rapid Deployment – Pre-assembled and factory-tested units enable quick installation and commissioning, reducing downtime.

Protection – Containers offer a controlled environment, shielding equipment from external elements and potential damage.

Portability – Easily transportable to remote or temporary locations, providing immediate access to water treatment capabilities.

Compact Footprint – The containerised design requires minimal space, making it suitable for sites with limited area.

The MENA-Water SafeDrink system is a conventional containerised water treatment plant designed to convert surface water from sources like rivers and lakes into safe drinking water. This cost-effective solution meets World Health Organisation (WHO) and other international water quality standards, ensuring reliable access to potable water.

Comprehensive Treatment Process: SafeDrink integrates essential components for coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, and disinfection within a compact system. This design effectively removes turbidity, suspended solids, colour, odour, and total organic carbon (TOC) from the water.

Modular and Scalable Design: The system’s modular configuration allows for easy scalability to accommodate varying water demand requirements, making it suitable for both small communities and larger populations.

Rapid Deployment: Pre-installed and factory-tested, the SafeDrink system facilitates quick installation and commissioning, ideal for emergency situations or areas lacking existing water treatment infrastructure.

Low Operational Complexity: Designed for simplicity, SafeDrink requires minimal maintenance and is user-friendly, ensuring reliable operation even in regions with limited technical expertise.

Systems from 500 to 2500m3/day in a complete single packaged unit inclusive of lamella settler and gravity sand filter. All equipment housed within the packaged system is pre-piped and wired.
