There are two types of surface aerators available in the range supplied to the Australian market.
- The TORNADO family of sub-surface aerators delivers excellent oxygen transfer and high mixing efficiency.
- The TWISTER low-speed aerator provides unmatched oxygen transfer and long-lasting performance for a wide range of wastewater treatment processes.
TORNADO® Aspirator Aerator
The TORNADO Aspirator offers efficient aeration with low maintenance, making it ideal for operators seeking reliable performance. It provides thorough mixing and oxygenation across various water environments, with adjustable air intake to optimise oxygen levels at different depths.
Built with durable stainless steel, the TORNADO withstands demanding conditions while enhancing processes such as biochemical oxygen demand reduction, odour control, and nitrification. Its straightforward installation and operation make it a user-friendly choice that meets the rigorous standards of modern water treatment.

Features and Benefits
The TORNADO aspirator’s innovative design provides numerous advantages for water treatment facilities. Its energy-efficient performance lowers operating costs while delivering reliable and effective aeration. With adaptability to various environmental conditions, the TORNADO is a versatile solution for a wide range of applications.
Key benefits include:
- Energy-efficient operation that reduces costs
- High aeration performance for effective treatment
- Adaptability to diverse environmental conditions
- Versatility across multiple applications
- Durable stainless-steel construction for long-term reliability
- Low maintenance requirements for ease of operation

Tornado Options and Models
Each TORNADO aspirator can be configured to be either shore mounted. Shore-mounted options can be either self-aspirating or blower-assisted.
- The TORNADO self-aspirating aerator aerates on its own by drawing air from the surface and injecting it beneath the surface of the pond or lake. It’s available in sizes from 1.5 to 75 kW.
- The TORNADO blower-assisted aerator is used for applications requiring a higher oxygenation level. The aerator includes a blower, which forces more air down the inlet and into the wastewater, producing higher oxygen. It’s available in sizes from 1.5-75 kW.
TWISTER® Low-Speed Surface Aerator
The TWISTER low-speed aerator offers high oxygen transfer efficiency, making it ideal for a wide range of biological treatment applications with high oxygen demand, including activated sludge systems, oxidation ditches, and extended aeration processes across municipal, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and other industries.
Available with coated-frame and non-metallic float options, the TWISTER can be configured as a floating unit with a three-pod stainless steel float and support system or as a fixed unit with an adjustable mounting plate for optimal performance. With thousands of installations worldwide, the TWISTER is a proven and reliable solution for wastewater treatment needs.
