Hydroflux Becomes a Platinum Member of the Australian Water Association

April 9, 2026

Hydroflux is proud to announce that it has become a Platinum Member of the Australian Water Association (AWA), reinforcing its commitment to supporting and advancing Australia’s water industry.

The AWA plays a critical role in connecting utilities, industry, government and academia, providing a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and industry development. Through technical forums, major conferences and advocacy, the Association helps drive improved outcomes across the sector and supports the adoption of innovative, practical solutions.

More recently, Hydroflux has been increasingly involved in the biosolids space, one of the most complex and rapidly evolving areas of wastewater treatment. With rising regulatory pressures, heightened community expectations, and growing interest in resource recovery and energy generation, the need for coordinated industry engagement has never been greater. AWA-led initiatives, including biosolids conferences and specialist networks, play a central role in advancing best practice and supporting utilities as they navigate these challenges.

Platinum Membership reflects Hydroflux’s ongoing investment in the industry and its intention to contribute more actively to the conversations shaping the future of water and wastewater management.

As Hydroflux Chair and CEO John Koumoukelis explains:

“As an industry, we face increasing challenges around sustainability, compliance and resource recovery. The Australian Water Association plays a critical role in bringing people together to address these challenges, enabling collaboration that drives practical, sustainable solutions across the sector. This is particularly important in complex areas such as biosolids management, where innovation and knowledge sharing are key. We’re proud to strengthen our contribution through Platinum Membership.”
