Hydroflux Deliver an Advanced Aeration Package for Batemans Bay STP

Aeration is central to the performance of any wastewater treatment plant that uses aerobic biological treatment.

Hydroflux recently delivered a complete aeration solution for the Batemans Bay Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) that focused on maximising energy efficiency of both the diffuser and blower technology. The scope included AEROSTRIP® membrane diffusers, HyGrid® removable frames, pipework and aeration blowers.

• Oxidation Ditch Process x 2
• TWL of 3.5M, Peak SOTR of 296 kg/h
• 112 x Q4 AEROSTRIP® Diffusers per ditch
• 8 x HyGrid® 316SS Removable Diffuser Frames with lifting beam and droppers
• 4 x 90kW Screw Blowers – low energy with low noise emission
• Achieved average SAE of 4.4 kgO₂/kWh at maximum SOTR conditions
